What is a lithophane?
A photograph carved in thickness instead of printed in ink. The resin is left thin where your picture is bright and thick where it is dark. Light from behind passes through unevenly, and the image appears. Switched off it looks like a pale relief; switched on it is your photograph.
Which photos work best?
A clear subject, decent contrast and plenty of light. Portraits, pets and animals come out beautifully. Very dark shots, night scenes and photos already lit from behind print worse than they look on a screen, because the plate has no way to be brighter than its own backlight.
Do I need to crop the photo myself?
No. You position the picture on this page and we print exactly what you framed. The dashed line shows the strip the frame will cover, so nothing important disappears under the edge.
Can I put a text on it?
Yes, a short line in one of three lettering styles. It is printed into the plate itself, so it glows together with the picture rather than sitting on the frame.
How long does it take?
The plate and the frame are printed to order, and delivery follows across the UAE. The exact timing is confirmed with you on WhatsApp when the order is placed.
What arrives in the box?
The lithophane plate, the frame with its LED backlight already fitted, and a USB-C cable. Nothing else to buy.
What powers it?
Any USB charger or a power bank. It draws about as much as a phone on standby, so it can stay on all evening.
Can I see the result before ordering?
That is what the preview on this page is for: it is built from your own photo, in the resin and frame you picked. It is a calculated model rather than a photograph of the finished piece, so treat it as a close guide, not a promise of every detail.
How do I look after it?
Wipe it with a soft dry cloth. Keep it out of direct sunlight — resin does not like long UV exposure — and do not put it in a dishwasher or soak it.
Do you deliver outside the UAE?
